Forestry

In 2003 the Estate was awarded the prestigious Royal Forestry Society's 'Duke of Cornwall’s Award' for their efforts toward forestry and conservation management.

Christmas trees

Baronscourt Nurseries has been growing Christmas trees for over 20 years. The species grown are Norway Spruce, Noble Fir, Nordmann Fir, Fraser Fir, Lodgepole Pine, Scots Pine and Abies Concolor. Numbers for sale vary from year to year and while some are grown for the retail market the majority are now municipal trees ranging from 10ft. to more than 30ft. high. The main species for sale over 10ft. high are Norway Spruce and Noble Fir.
